Due to an unresolved conflict between third parties I am no longer confident in releasing Moko’s location. Until issues are resolved I will be freezing my site and my pages. Hopefully MokoInWhakatane will be back up soon once parties have discussed their concerns. I believe that both Moko and the general public are at risk if I continue with this forum in the present circumstances. “So long and thanks for all the fish.” Chris Redhead

Hi Chris this is the first time I have blogged, my daughter Jocelin planned a family trip to Whakatane in March, I hav’nt been there for ages, so off we charged from Papamoa Beach, on a picnic and tog family adventure to see Moko after finding info on the computor that gave us reasonable odd’s he was playing in the harbour entrance, there was my wife Adrienne and I in or 50-ish approx grand parent role, daughter Jocelin 27 her patner Luke 29 my grandaughter Sapphi 3 and Lukes son Kalani 5, we arrived to see lot’s of onlooker’s and proceeded to take photo’s eat paddle play with the kid’s, then Luke and myself made the swim over the entrance, we got to the other side to rest, and there was Moko, he eye’d me up and all I got to touch was his tail, Luke on the other hand, and Moko seemed to have play in mind and after a few chase and tow’s Luke was really besotted with Moko, he remarked it was one of the best day’s of his life with the whole thing and all! we swam back, walked and talked laughed alot! went to the skate board park on the way home and all had a great family day, the thing is Luke Miller passed away last week in a freak accident and at the funeral today, all I could think about was how he loved that day playing with Moko and being the perfect family man thank’s for the info.
